III. Conclusions Polish teachers watched were interested in lessons, listened to Norwegian teachers’ comments (the analysis concerned methods as well as the degree of achieving goals). It was emphasized that Norwegian teachers ( particularly Maths teachers) cover the material at a slower pace than Polish teachers. It results from the fact that there is a distinction between two levels of Maths: practical and theoretical. They repeat principles clearly, again and again, provide a large number of exercises with the intention of revising a particular problem. Norwegian teachers also pay a special attention to pair works and the interaction: teacher-student. It particularly concerns students who are unable to handle solving asks. Certain differences in teaching methods result from the conditions- a different educational system, higher level of hi-tech equipment. It was pointed out that there were several common areas which are integral part of each lesson regardless of conditions. Presentation of the survey analysis ‘Key competences in learning throughout the whole life’ 45 Polish and 50 Norwegian students took part in the survey. The analysis of the survey conducted in the Polish school was presented by: j. Szczechowicz, A. Kołodziej. The analysis of the survey conducted in the Norwegian school was presented by: T. Hjelle. There was a discussion on the theme of the survey, a comparative analysis was made. A large number of results was comparable, a few differences were observed. It was indicated that there were a lot of immigrants in the Norwegian school, which affected the results. Differences also result from varying educational systems in both countries. A final report will be done by the Norwegian school. A publication will be made. Evaluation and planning
